Satisfied in El Shaddai

Satisfied in El Shaddai

“If Anyone Is Thirsty…”

On the last and greatest day of the festival, Jesus stood and cried out:

“If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink.” — John 7:37

Here, Jesus reveals the heart of El ShaddaiThe Pourer-Forth, the God who pours Himself out for His people.

Kay Arthur describes El Shaddai as:

“The One who gives His lifeblood, who sheds forth His Spirit, who by the sacrifice of Himself gives His very nature to those who will receive Him.”

El Shaddai doesn’t just meet our needs; He satisfies our souls.

What Are You Leaning On?

We often chase satisfaction in things that don’t last — possessions, relationships, even achievements. Yet the more we lean on them, the more we thirst.

El Shaddai invites us to lean on Him, the only true source of sufficiency. His promises rest not on our ability but on His character.

Journaling Prompts for Reflection

Choose one of these reflections for your final El Shaddai journal page:

  • What have you been leaning on for satisfaction — and has it truly satisfied?

  • How does knowing God’s promises rest on His ability bring peace to your current situation?

  • How can you worship God not only for what He gives, but for who He is — your All-Sufficient One?

Letter El Shaddai — He Satisfies across your page as a reminder: He alone fills every empty place.

El Shaddai — The All-Sufficient One — doesn’t just give blessings; He gives Himself. And in Him, we find everything we’ve been longing for.
