How I Created a Names of Jesus Divider Using Sticker Paper & Art Printables

How I Created a Names of Jesus Divider Using Sticker Paper & Art Printables

One of the questions I hear most often is:
“How do I add new sections to my journal without making it feel overwhelming?”

Today, I want to walk you through exactly how I created a new Names of Jesus divider for my Follow Him Journal using sticker paper and Art Printables—step by step.

This is a simple process, very beginner-friendly, and perfect if you want something beautiful without starting from a blank page.   And, if you are interested in watching a video replay of this tutorial, you can find it right here on my YouTube Channel.  It was originally taught on 2.3.26

Step 1: Choose Your Divider Artwork

I started by selecting artwork from the Creative ART Printables (CAP) that coordinated with this month’s Name of Jesus.

These printables are already sized and formatted, which means:

  • No drawing required

  • No guesswork

  • You can focus on meaning instead of mechanics

I chose a piece that felt calm and reflective—something that would visually mark this section of my journal.

Step 2: Print on Sticker Paper

Next, I printed the selected artwork directly onto sticker paper.

Why sticker paper?

  • It turns your artwork into an instant adhesive element

  • No glue mess

  • Easy to reposition before pressing down

This is one of my favorite tricks for journaling because it keeps the process simple and flexible.

Step 3: Prepare the Divider Page

For the divider base, I used a slightly heavier paper so it would stand up well inside the journal.

You can:

  • Trim it to size

  • Round the corners if you like

  • Punch holes or trim it to fit your journal style

This divider will serve as a visual pause—a place to transition into prayer, scripture, and reflection for this Name of Jesus.

Step 4: Apply the Sticker Artwork

Once printed, I carefully peeled the backing from the sticker paper and placed the artwork onto the divider page.

Tip:
Lay it down gently at first so you can adjust the placement. Once it feels right, press it down firmly.

This is where the page really comes to life.

Step 5: Add Lettering with Traceables

This is where Creative Hearts Studio lettering traceables shine.

I used this month’s lettering traceable to:

  • Add the Name of Jesus to the divider

  • Keep my lettering consistent throughout the journal

  • Remove pressure to “get it right”

You can trace directly, transfer it, or simply use it as a visual guide.

Lettering traceables are especially helpful if you’re still building confidence—or if you want your journal to feel cohesive from section to section.

Step 6: Place the Divider in Your Follow Him Journal

Finally, I added the finished divider into my Follow Him Journal, creating a clear, intentional space for this month’s Name of Jesus.

This divider now:

  • Marks a new spiritual focus

  • Holds space for prayer and reflection

  • Grows with me as I continue journaling

And the best part?
It didn’t take hours. It didn’t require advanced skills. It simply invited me to show up.

Why This Matters

These small creative steps help us return to our journals again and again.

Using:

  • Art Printables for ease and beauty

  • Sticker paper for simplicity

  • Lettering traceables for confidence

…removes barriers and creates space for what really matters: time with the Lord.
