That’s why, in January, I’m hosting FOLLOW HIM—a scripture-centered creative kickoff built around mixed media art and journaling.

When our hands are busy—cutting, layering, journaling, painting—our minds quiet. And in that quiet, we often hear God more clearly.

In FOLLOW HIM, creativity isn’t about talent.
It’s about attention.

We use art and journaling to:

• Reflect on scripture

• Spend intentional time with God

• Create space for prayer and listening

What Is Mixed Media Faith Art?

Mixed media art simply means using a variety of materials together—paper, texture, collage, paint, and found elements.

In FOLLOW HIM, mixed media allows us to:

• Layer meaning into our artwork

• Create without perfection

• Express faith in visual, tangible ways

You don’t need advanced skills—just a willingness to try something new.

What You’ll Create Inside FOLLOW HIM

Over the course of the workshop, you’ll:

• Build the foundation of a Follow Him Journal focused on scripture

• Explore the January Name of Jesus and His red-letter words

• Begin a mixed media piece centered on Jesus as King of Kings

Inside Creative Hearts Studio, this project becomes part of a year-long Names of Jesus collection, with one new mixed media piece created each month.
