This Christmas, let's slow down and follow the beautiful story of God's promises all the way to the manager.
Join me November 6th, 9th, & 10th as we transform a simple half-size composition book into a meaningful Advent keepsake, filled with scripture, watercolor artwork, and creative touches.

The Christmas season can get so busy that we sometimes miss the opportunity to slow down and reflect on the greatest gift of all.
What if you could set aside a little creative time in November to prepare something meaningful for Advent?
Something that would invite you to pause, open God's Word, and remember the beautiful story of His promises.
That's what inspired Follow Him to the Manger.
We'll begin with a simple composition book and turn it into a personal Advent keepsake.
You'll paint beautiful illustrations, work with papers and creative techniques, and build a book that you can enjoy throughout the Advent season—and treasure for years to come.
No need to be an experienced artist. I'll guide you through the process, one step at a time.
USE A HALF-SIZE COMPOSITION NOTEBOOK AS THE FOUNDATION
Transform a simple, ordinary half-size composition book into a lasting handmade Advent keepsake. This practical notebook provides a sturdy structure to arrange your artwork, special papers, and creative embellishments as you assemble your book throughout the workshop.
PAINT AND PERSONALIZE USING SIMPLE WATERCOLOR TECHNIQUES
Bring the 24 pre-drawn line art illustrations to life with step-by-step guidance on adding color, shading, and beautiful details using basic watercolor techniques. Whether you are new to painting or prefer using colored pencils or markers, you can personalize each design to match your style.
ADD MEANINGFUL SCRIPTURE THROUGHOUT THE PAGES
Inspired by the Jesse Tree tradition, incorporate the promises, prophecies, and names of Jesus alongside your artwork. Create space across the pages to pause, reflect, and journal your personal thoughts and prayers during the Advent season.

How the Workshop Works ...
Friday, November 6 — Let's Paint!
We'll begin bringing our illustrations to life with watercolor. I'll share techniques for adding color, shading, and beautiful little details to your artwork.
Monday, November 9 — Let's Build Our Book!
We'll transform our half-size composition book into an Advent keepsake, working with our painted illustrations, scripture, papers, and creative embellishments.
Tuesday, November 10 — The Finishing Touches
We'll continue bringing our artwork and book together, adding meaningful details and exploring ways to personalize the pages for Advent.
By the end of our workshop, you'll have the techniques, artwork, and guidance you need to complete your book before Advent begins on November 29.

One of the things I love most about creative projects is that we can all begin with the same supplies and end up with something uniquely ours.
You might choose to:
Create an Advent Keepsake Book:
Tell the beautiful story of God's promises through scripture and illustrated pages. Display it during Christmas, share it with your family, or bring it out each year as a special tradition.
Create an Advent Scripture Journal:
Leave room to add your thoughts, prayers, and reflections as you journey through Advent. Use your artwork as a starting point for spending time in God's Word.
Or combine a little of both!
This is your book, and I want you to enjoy making it your own.
Live attendance is encouraged but not required. Replays will be available.
I've Made the Creative Part Easier!
If you've ever thought, "I'd love to do something like this, but I can't draw," please don't let that stop you.
I've already created the 24 illustrations for you.
Your job is simply to enjoy painting them and adding your own creative touches.
I'll show you simple techniques you can use, even if you're brand-new to watercolor.
And if watercolor isn't your favorite, you can use colored pencils or markers to bring your designs to life.
No intimidating blank page. No pressure to make a masterpiece.
Just a meaningful creative experience as we prepare our hearts for Christmas.

Butterfly Journal
I have enjoyed the butterfly journal project. More than anything, it has been nice to share with other classmates ideas and to receive ideas. I found this project came at a perfect time. I am facing cancer surgeries and will be secluded for awhile.
I plan to use my journal to write the things the Lord shows me during this time and to keep my mind focused on being grateful. I love the prayer prompts in the journal and believe this will keep my mind focused on praising God during a difficult time. I love everything I learn from Pam.

Follow Him Journal
This workshop has been amazing! I’ve been in a season of family and personal health struggles, cancer, even death in the family and friends, but this has been a way to keep my eyes on Jesus!
I’m looking forward to documenting all the names of Jesus as well as writing all the RED LETTERS (words of Jesus). I hope to increase my creativity and practice my skills along the way. I’m so blessed by time with all my sisters in Christ and I love it when we pray for and encourage one other.
